Mini Hummer to beat credit crunch
Tuesday, 17th June 2008
Who says Hummers have to be gas guzzling super jeeps? Thanks to a Dorset mechanic you can now emulate Arnie or Becks without the having to melt your credit card at the pump. Mr Sunders of Poole has transformed a 1998 Suzuki Wagon R into a mini version of the Hummer, so he can ride in style, park in Sainsbury’s and afford to buy the shopping after filling up.
General Motors have reduced production of the Hummer due to rising fuel costs and the credit crunch. But even if there was no credit crunch and fuel was cheap – most of us would still be looking at Honda’s rather than Hummers.
Mr Sunders’ Suzuki Wagon R Hummer conversion will go on sale in Battersea Park in London in October.
