Home phone customers 'losing money ' using paper bills
28 February 2008
Paper bills could be costing you hundreds of pounds according to YourHomeBills.com. Millions of pounds are paid every year to telecoms providers for Paper Bills and non DD payments.
An estimated 35% of Post Office customers, 18% of BT customers and nine per cent of Virgin Media customers could save money by choosing to pay with DD.
Meanwhile, 84% of Virgin Media customers and 59% of BT customers its thought could save by opting to receive a bill via email instead of the post.
YourHomeBills.com has advised customers to check and change where possible to maximise their savings. Some telecoms providers are thought to be less than forthcoming about the possible savings as the extra revenue is good for their bottom line. YourHomeBills.com recommend consumers contact their provider and request information for changes to DD payments and e-mail bills ASAP.
