Sky enters the Free Broadband market
20 July 2006
Sky has announced that it will now offer free broadband to all its customers in unbundled areas. Customers who do not live in an unbundled area will be offered a competitively priced alternative of up to 8Mb for £17.99 a month & once the Local Loop Unbundling reaches them they will be switched to the free package.
The free broadband revolution started by Car Phone Warehouse and followed by Orange looks set to widen with the real winners being the consumer.
However it is important for customers to closely look at the offers and packages as they are all tied to contracts and other services. If you don’t want Sky TV getting it just to have ‘Free’ broadband will mean you are out of pocket.
