Another 6 cities for Tiscali Digital TV
Monday 12 May 2008
6 more Italian cities will be covered by Italian IPTV provider Tiscali. Digital TV will expand its service to include Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and Turin which will add a potential 4 million more homes to the provider’s base.
Cagliari, Milan and Rome are currently the only cities with access to Tiscali TV with the plan to roll out the service city by city. As well as the expansion programme Tiscali also announced it has signed an agreement with Sony Pictures Television International, Disney-ABC International Television, and with Yamato Video to bolster their offerings to the customer.
If success is proven in Italy the UK will be quick to be the next zone for Tiscali to expand their reach with IPTV.
